Egham – Case Study
The brief
We were commissioned to refurbish two wooden bus shelters in Egham, following the acceptance of our detailed quotation from the client. The project aimed to restore the shelters to a safe and functional state whilst enhancing its look and feel.
The process
The existing shelters had become worn over time, with missing components and overgrown vegetation impacting their usage. Specific challenges included:
- Removal of old metal stop poles obstructing the rear of the shelters.
- Clearing overgrown vegetation growing on and around the shelters.
- Repairing missing and damaged backboards.
- Restoring the shelters’ aesthetic appeal by reglazing and staining.
The results
The refurbishment was completed successfully, transforming the shelters into safe and visually appealing structures that blend seamlessly into their environment. See below for the comparison to the finished product.
